Rhyolite (1) Polished Rainforest Jasper Mottled Tumbled Stone
El Loro Jewelry & Gifts
This is one piece of Rhyolite, a specific variety known as Rainforest Rhyolite or Rainforest Jasper (a misnomer). This type of stone displays unique patterns which may occur in pink, peach, white, yellow, or other colors, against an olive-green background. Though it may be seen labeled as a jasper elsewhere, this is a misnomer--many rhyolite varieties are incorrectly sold as jaspers. Rainforest Rhyolite has an artistic appearance that makes no two stones identical. It has been tumbled smooth and is polished on all sides, making it the perfect size for a pocket, purse, pillow, or palm. These stones would also make a perfect addition to a crystal grid.
One piece will be intuitively chosen from our selection of available tumbled stones. Sizes and colors will vary, as well as inclusions and surface features. Tumbled stones have been smoothed via rock tumbler, and may have a matte or shiny polished surface; unless listed in description, stones are completely natural and untreated.

PHYSICAL: Rhyolite is an igneous rock which forms as magma intrudes the earth's crust--during cooling, vesicles form which fill with common opal, chalcedony, or other colorful minerals, giving it a painterly effect. Each piece of Rhyolite is unique, and widely varying patterns may form right next to each other in the same deposit. Rhyolite is found in volcanic rock outcroppings around the world, and varies greatly in appearance.
METAPHYSICAL/CULTURAL: Rainforest Rhyolite is associated with connection to nature, growth, and enjoyment of life.
