Characteristics of this specimen: Malachite has formed this natural, organic specimen. The shades vary from sage to brightest green. Oxides may be present. Habits vary from fibrous to botryoidal, and may have velvety or rough textures.
Care Notes:
Malachite is a copper bearing mineral, which forms in secondary zones of copper deposits. As with all metallic minerals, it should be kept out of the elements and away from water. Malachite particles and dust should never be inhaled or used internally.
