Dimensions: 1.04" x 0.73" (27mm x 19mm)
Characteristics of this specimen: Hemimorphite is a zinc sorosilicate mineral, associated with and often mistaken for smithsonite. It is mined from the upper parts of zinc and lead ores, and may take multiple forms and colors. This pale blue, botryoidal form is a classic for this mineral.
Care Notes: Hemimorphite contains zinc, and like all metallic minerals, should be kept out of the elements and out of water, and should never be used internally.
