Locality: Cripple Creek, CO
Dimensions: 24mm x 13mm
Characteristics of this specimen: These specimens are found in a 100+ year old gold mine in Teller County, CO. Pale purple fluorite on quartz casts after laumontite (a rare zeolite mineral). Often these organic looking specimens also display Barite. As the access to the mine has been lost, these may be the only specimens that come from this area, at least for now.
