Characteristics of this specimen: Azurite has formed this natural, organic specimen. The blue shade is extremely dark and lustrous, nearly black, which results in a midnight blue shade. The azurite crystals are sharp and jagged, in a unique display that has great aesthetics.

Azurite is a copper bearing mineral, which forms in primary zones of copper deposits. As with all metallic minerals, it should be kept out of the elements and away from water.
