Characteristics of this specimen: Azurite has formed this natural, organic specimen. The shades vary from navy blue to ultramarine, sage to brightest green. Oxides may be present. Habits vary from fibrous to botryoidal, and may have velvety or rough textures.
Care Notes:
Azurite is a copper bearing mineral, which forms in primary zones of copper deposits. As with all metallic minerals, it should be kept out of the elements and away from water.
