Care Notes: Ammolite is delicate and fragile—it must be treated and displayed with care, and kept away from abrasive components and chemicals. Ammolite is frequently stabilized with resin to protect it and minimize the flakiness.
Ammonite fossils are the remains of one of several types of ammonites, an aquatic predator that dominated its environment during its era. Ammonites are found around the world, but ammolite is found only in a select few localities—e best quality comes from northern Canada.
Note: Although it is common to see this material listed as "opalized", it is NOT opal. Ammolite is much more similar to the outer layers of a pearl: prismatic aragonite layers bonded together by organic binding proteins.
Keywords: Seeing the big picture, slow and steady personal growth, and sacred geometry. Enhanced wisdom, balanced chi, increased wealth.
