Desert Rose Gypsum (1) Raw Stone

 This is one piece of Gypsum "Desert Rose"; though delicate, it is the perfect size for a pocket, purse, pillow, or palm. These stones would also make a perfect addition to a crystal grid.

One piece will be intuitively chosen from our selection of available loose stones. Sizes and colors will vary, as well as inclusions and surface features. Tumbled stones have been smoothed via rock tumbler, and may have a matte or shiny polished surface; unless listed in description, stones are completely natural and untreated.

PHYSICAL: Desert Rose is a unique formation of gypsum, which has been formed into a layered rosette shape formed by many blades. Gypsum is the sulfate mineral which results from evaporation of ancient lakes and riverbeds--varieties include selenite, alabaster, and satin spar. They may be found in multiple localities around the world, including abundantly in Morocco. Like all gypsum varieties, this material is soft and fragile, and will dissolve in  water if left over time.
