FORMATION: Scolecite is a tectosilicate mineral belonging to the zeolite family. Zeolite minerals are described as framework silicates--they have a low-density crystal lattice, and for this reason have been used industrially to filter water. Scolecite is isostructural (having the same structure as) to zeolite minerals mesolite and natrolite.
HEALING PROPERTIES: Scolecite is a high vibration mineral--it is believed to awaken the mind and heart. Scolecite is said to enhance deep inner peace and serenity, and to support development of healthy patterns and connections.
