This uniquely shaded little beauty is yellow Pyromorphite, pseudomorphed by powder blue Plumbogummite. This distinctive combination is a classic mineral specimen from Yangshuo Mine, China. This softly pastel toned miniature crystal cluster features shapely stubby crystals with "half and half" blue and yellow sides, and has been mounted on a 1" clear base for display. An ideal and efficient addition to any mineral collection!
Locality: Yangshuo Mine, Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang AR, China.
Dimensions: 1.38” x 1.00” x 1.00” (36mm x 26mm x 26mm). Mounted on 1” clear base.
Weight: n/a (mounted)
Formation: Pyromorphite is a rare lead phosphate mineral, and plumbogummite is the corresponding secondary mineral. At one time, these minerals were worth their weight in platinum! In 2013-2014, the small hand-worked mining in Daoping lead deposit yielded amazing yellow and powder blue crystals display pseudomorphing (replacement of an original mineral, with the original structure preserved by a secondary mineral).
Healing: Pyromorphite is associated with vigor, vitality, and personal strength. Plumbogummite is associated with luck, stress release, and increased focus and concentration.
