This medium sized and well-formed specimen displays the distinctive shape and bright blue color our Colorado Amazonite is known for. It also displays zoned edges of white microcline. The terminations are clean, and the lines of the crystal aesthetic. This large crystal cluster is a beautiful example of Colorado mineralogy.

PHYSICAL: Amazonite is a variety of microcline that is normally white or cream. It forms in blue shades in only a few localities worldwide: Russia, Brazil, Madagascar, and our very own Colorado among them. It's unknown why Amazonite forms in these areas.
