Characteristics of this specimen: This is a dark purple amethyst mini single crystal--some minor damage and abrasions may remain as it is not polished or shaped.

Amethyst is the purple quartz variety, and has been known and used for ornamental and healing properties since the earliest human cultures. It is found throughout the world in significant deposits, which vary greatly in appearance--examples include Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, Namibia, Zambia, and more.
